The Nepal Climbing Sports Association (NCSA) has officially bid farewell to its athletes who are set to represent Nepal in the Asian
Games qualification round.
The athletes will participate in the Asian Games qualification round in Meishan, China, through the World Climbing Asian
Championship (Boulder & Lead), scheduled from April 8–12, 2026.
The participating athletes include one female and two male climbers: Ms. Swastika Chaudhary, Mr. Tenzing Bertin Rai, and Mr.
Ronak Upreti. Notably, Mr. Tenzing Bertin Rai is the current Olympic Solidarity Scholarship holder.
A formal farewell program was organized at the Earthquake Memorial Multi-Purpose Covered Hall in Dallu Awas, Kathmandu,
under the coordination of the Nepal Olympic Committee, in the presence of NCSA officials. On the occasion, the President of the
Nepal Olympic Committee, Mr. Jeevan Ram Shrestha, bid farewell to the three athletes and extended his best wishes and good
luck for their successful participation and qualification in the upcoming games.
Furthermore, following the qualification event, the same athletes will also participate in the World Climbing Series Keqiao 2026
(Boulder), scheduled to be held from May 1–3, 2026, in Keqiao, China. The team will return to Nepal after completing both
competitions.
NCSA expresses its confidence in the athletes and wishes them success in bringing pride to the nation.
