The Nepal Climbing Sport Association (NCSA) was established in 2010 A.D. (2068 B.S.). As anational association dedicated to sport climbing in Nepal, NCSA is affiliated with the Ministry ofYouth and Sports and registered under the National Sports Council of Nepal (NSC-88). Read MoreKathmandu, June 13, 2026 – The Nepal Climbing Sports Association (NCSA) successfully organized the National Sport Climbing Championship 2026 at the Kathmandu Sport Climbing Center, bringing together 42 athletes from across Nepal. In the men's category, Ronak Upreti claimed the national title, followed by Pemba Chewang Tamang in second place and Sulabh Rai in third. In the women's category, Swastika Chaudhary emerged as champion, while Manisha Budha Magar secured second place and Rabika Maharjan finished third. The championship was supported by numerous event partners and sponsors, with technical support provided by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) through the deployment of an international-level Chief Route Setter. Black Diamond, as an in-kind sponsor, also announced a special gear sponsorship for one male and one female athlete selected to represent Nepal in international competitions, with athlete recommendations to be made by NCSA through a formal selection process. The event highlighted the growing popularity and potential of sport climbing in Nepal and reinforced NCSA's commitment to organizing annual national championships and developing future international athletes.
